Random October Pics

Another month has come and gone. Here are some random pics from October.

First, a montage of Eva sleeping in different places. Yes, these were all taken in October.

Sleeping in her car seat.

Asleep in the highchair. This one really surprised me!

She was really out. I think she slept this way for about half an hour.

What a silly baby.

Asleep on her floor gym. This one was surprising in that Lena was running around her constantly.

Cuddled up with her blankie.

Asleep on Mama's lap while still gripping her toy.

Asleep while shopping at Target.

Now some non-sleeping pics.

A few too many bubbles in the bathtub.

At the playground.

Eva enjoying the fresh air.

Lena after bathtime.

Eva playing on her floor gym.

Lena wanted to play too.

Sweet sisters.

Lena showing off her new froggy jammies.

Mia cuddling with Lena. They do this almost every morning now.

Lena "reading" to Eva.

Eva wanted to help turn the pages.

We aren't big on trick-or-treating, but they had an event downtown last weekend where local businesses gave out candy, so we got Lena some kitty ears and took her down there.

Going at the candy with both hands.

Posing.

She also got a balloon. (Which she popped by biting it before we even got home.)

Found a pumpkin.

Eva on her first Reformation Day. She had tights on when we went to church, but Daddy had taken them off before I got the camera out.

Checking out her long legs.

Yesterday Grandpa Brian, Teresa, Aunt Amy, and Uncle Frank came up for the day. Uncle Frank picked out this SpongeBob hat and mitten set for Lena. She loved it of course. Then this morning, while she still had her SpongeBob jammies on, she came into the room like this and said, "Look Mama! I dress up Halloween!" She is such a goof!

October sure did go by quickly. Hard to believe it's already time to start planning Thanksgiving!

More Fall Fun

Today we went out and had some more fall fun. Creekside Growers, just outside of Middleville, has a free fall festival every year and we went to that again today. They have all kinds of fun stuff for families: hayride, pumpkin picking, homemade donuts, cider pressing demonstrations, a petting zoo, and other fun activities for kids. And it's all free (except for the pumpkins, of course).

Really big scarecrow.

My punkin with some pumpkins. :)

Having fun in the bouncy house. The hat didn't stand a chance in there!

So silly.

Farmer Lena.

Pumpkin picking time!

"I like this one, Mama!"

"But this one's more my size."

Daddy and Eva in the pumpkin patch.

Finding our way through the corn maze.

I think this should be his new Facebook profile picture.

On the hayride.

Sliding down the Titanic.

Watching the lady make cider.

My cutie.

Playing in some corn kernels.

We had lots of fun there today. We bought pumpkins to carve; keep your eye out for those pics!

Noah's Baptism

On Sunday, Jim baptized our nephew, Noah. It was a neat day to do it, because not only was it 10-10-10, but it was also his mommy's birthday! It was really nice being able to see Hilary on her birthday.

Baptism cake.

Before the service, Lena "reading" the Bible. She stacked all those Bibles up and said proudly, "Look, Mama! Library!"

Daddy showing Lena a pretty moth.

The birthday girl and the baptism boy.

Noah in his cute baptismal outfit.

The outfit came with this funny hat. We had a good laugh about it! (Needless to say, he did not wear the hat during the baptism.)

Hilary holding Eva and Scott holding Noah.

After the service. Noah and Uncle Jim.

Proud parents.

Scott's parents, Don and Bev, came up for the baptism too.

The baptism went well and the service was nice. We all (including Grandma Sheryl and our friends, the Shadles) went out to lunch in Hastings afterwards.

Happy Birthday, Aunt Hil, and Happy Baptism, Noah!
