Random February Pics

Here are a few random pics I took in February.

My girls being goofy.

I can never get them to both smile at the same time.

Lena at her friend Madelyn's birthday party.

Madelyn's mom makes really cool cakes.

Lena and Madelyn making colorful bubbles.

Cake! I like how she gives the impression that she's using her fork, but if you look closely, you can see a big blue glob of frosting in her other hand.

Eva getting into the pantry.

She must have been telling me that she was hungry for sweet potatoes that day.

This one is for Grandma Sheryl and Grammy Tammy. Her shirt says "Grandma makes me happy."

The girls playing nicely together.

This is what happens when an almost-3-year-old and a baby get a hold of a cassette tape.

Lena and Eva had their first bubble bath together. We had to cut it a little bit short because Lena kept dumping water on Eva's head. (She wasn't being mean, she did it because she likes it when Daddy dumps water on her head, so she assumed Eva would like it too.)

Eva keeps crawling into the baby bouncer to play with it.

Lena always insists I take her picture whenever I snap one of Eva.

The girls taking Blueberry for a trot.

This is how Eva plays with this thing.

Crawled into the bouncer again.

This one cracks me up. Lena had pulled her pants off trying to keep her in the tent, then Eva crawled over to this thing and plopped down on it.

Lena in her sassy hat.

Bring on March! Hopefully we'll have some outside pics to show you next month!

Lena's Third Birthday

We had a fun weekend celebrating Lena's birthday. Hard to believe she is three years old already!

We had a small party at our house on Saturday. The weather forecast looked iffy all week, but it cooperated just enough for our family to come up from Indiana.

Birthday cake. I am not much of a baker, so this wasn't an easy feat for me! I have to say, though, that it turned out much better than last year's cake.

Jim and I got her a shiny new tricycle for her birthday. Here's Daddy putting it together the night before her party.

Party Day! Aunt Hil and the babies.

Grandpa Lee and Eva.

The birthday girl loving on Cousin Noah.

Lena and her two favorite babies.

Noah and Eva playing together. Right after this shot, Eva grabbed the other end of Noah's pacifier string and put it in her mouth. They are so funny together.

Nothing says "Birthday!" like presents, cake, balloons, and flowers.

Excited to open presents.

"I'm three!"

Opening a big present.

It's a princess tent!

Noah made a beeline for the tunnel.

He loved it! What a silly baby!

The kiddie hangout.

Lena wearing the hat and robe Grammy Tammy made for her.

Grammy Tammy also made her a blanket and pillow to use in her new tent.

She also got some fun bath toys that look like dirty dishes. When you put them in warm water, the "dirt" washes off. Fun!

The sticker says it all.

Checking out her new big girl tricycle.

Daddy had to teach her how to push the pedals with her feet. She picked up on it pretty quickly.

Off she goes!

The other neat presents she got (that I couldn't take a picture of), is the money for two six week gymnastics lessons. She's going to have so much fun with that!

Funcle Jim and Noah.

Blowing out the candles.

Eating cake.

She specifically requested chocolate cake. She also specifically requested "mustard" frosting, but I thought she might like raspberry flavor better!

Eva likes the trike too!

Aunt Hil trying to find a way to let "Blueberry" go for a ride.

Another baby in the tunnel.

Three kids in Grammy Tammy hats.

Silly Aunt Amy.

Daddy doesn't fit!

Lena and Dominic.

After everyone went home, Lena spent the rest of the evening riding her trike around the house. Check out all the stuff she got to fit on the back ledge!

"If only I could fit my trike inside my tent. . . "

Sunday morning. All dolled up in the pretty dress she got for Christmas.

It has a matching coat. Adorable!

Sunday afternoon. She loves having Eva in the tent with her.

Such cute sisters.

You can't see Eva in this shot, but Lena is "feeding" her water out of her sippy cup.

Birthday morning. I made her pink pancakes as a special birthday breakfast.

When I put the plate down, she asked where the pink pancakes were. I told her those were it, and she said, "No, those are brown."

She was excited to eat them anyway.

All gone! Time to scoop up the extra syrup with my fingers.

Another present to open. From some nice people at church.

It's a huggable little guy.

Pretty envelope.

And a card with her picture on it.

Neat!

Birthday girl and her sissy looking out the window. "Is it spring yet?"

Eva had fun playing in the gift bag.

We had a great time celebrating Lena's birthday this year. We are so blessed to have her in our lives and can't wait to see what the next year of her life will bring.

Thanks so much to all of our family who drove up and back to Indiana in the snow to share Lena's special day with her. We really appreciate it!
