Here are a few pics from our week and a half in Indiana. I didn't take too many pictures. Definitely not as many as last year. There were many days I just didn't feel like taking pictures. But here are the few I did take.
Noah opening his birthday presents.
Eva and Kara. Kara loves this construction hat.
Such a cutie.
Eva hugging Kara when she was upset. Had to give her a little lesson on not giving "neck hugs."
The girls with Aunt Hil.
The girls and Noah.
While we were in Indiana, we took a little side trip to Michigan. Our house in Middleville sold (yay!) and we had to be there for the closing. We drove up on Thursday, had lunch with our friends Chris, Gloria, and Chet, dropped the girls off with our friends the Krenzes, and went up to sign the papers. After that was done, we met a bunch of our Michigan friends at a local restaurant for dinner. It was so great seeing everybody again. It was kind of chaotic at the restaurant, so I don't have any pics from dinner. :( But it was really fun.
Sarah Krenz took this pic of the girls with their friends Madelyn and Mackenzie. They had a blast with them.
We stayed overnight with Gary and Cheryl and of course, had breakfast at The Big Easy the next morning.
It was great seeing them again and catching up.
On Saturday, back in Indiana, we visited our friends, The Shadles. They have expanded their farm animals to now include sheep and baby goats.
The baby goats were so adorable!
The girls just loved them.
Lena loved carrying them around. The goats didn't seem to mind.
Thanks so much, Bobbi and Dennis!
The girls dressed up for the Sunday before the 4th.
After church we went out to Grandma and Grandpa Peitzman's house. The plan was to swim in Grandma's pool, but the weather didn't cooperate with us. It was overcast and cool, but it wasn't raining, so the girls spent the afternoon playing with the kittens.
The kittens were very sweet and were little saints for putting up with being carried around all afternoon.
The grandkids had a picnic lunch on the front porch.
Cute pic of Lena and a kitten. I just love how the kitten has its tongue out.
Grandma and the big kids played "drive-through" for a while.
Noah walked around in the new rain boots he got for his birthday.
For some reason, Noah "clutched" onto this pin cushion in the shape of a purse that Grandma had. We all went out for dinner at Logan's (our belated Father's Day gift for Grandpa), and the purse had to come along too. Noah even took it to bed with him that night. Hilary reports that his obsession with the purse has ended now.
The evening before we left, we visited Great-Grandma Marian. We also visited Great-Grandma Zink, but I didn't take any pictures that day.
We had some fun times in Indiana and Michigan, but it was really nice to come home!
