We had a really fun Fourth of July weekend. Mom came up for the weekend to visit us. Here are a few pics I took.
On Friday evening we headed downtown to hear the music in the park.
It was Eva's first time in the wagon. She loved it. She kept looking back at me and grinning, like she was saying, "Look, Mama! This is so much fun!"
Grandma pulling the wagon.
Apparently it was too much to ask to get a picture of Lena smiling while wearing a shirt that says "It's A Happy Day!"
The music that night was a band that plays oldies; perfect for Grandma!
Grandma and Lena.
Grandma and Eva.
That day Eva was interested in drinking out of everyone's cup but her own. Here she's going for Lena's.
Then she grabbed Grandma's.
Trying to do a headstand.
Lena stole Daddy's hat.
Some members of our church, Gary and Cheryl, sat with us.
Lena relaxing with Gary.
Daddy helping Eva dance.
What a cutie.
Lena ran around so much she wore herself out. Not really, she jumped right back up the second after I snapped this pic.
Then Eva found Daddy's cup.
A nice man let Lena pet his doggie.
Sunday after church. I had the girls all dressed up in patriotic outfits.
My little firecrackers.
The weather was hot and sunny so we did a lot of swimming in our kiddie pool.
Me and my pool buddy.
Sunday evening we had a grill feast. Steaks, pork chops, sweet potatoes, corn on the cob, and a veggie salad all done on the grill. Rounded out with some fresh tomatoes and cottage cheese and cole slaw.
On the afternoon of the 4th, Eva got to go swimming for the very first time. As you can see, she loved it.
Me and my swimmy girls.
Eva with a rubber ducky in her mouth. I got her to say "ducky" yesterday.
We had a really fun holiday weekend. Thanks for coming up to see us, Grandma Sheryl. We always love having you!
