We had a great Easter weekend. As in years past, Grandma Sheryl came up to spend the weekend with us.
The project of the weekend was painting this old child's rocking chair. Apparently this was from when Hilary and I were kids, but I don't really remember it. Mom brought it up and got some paint that matches the girls' chairs that we got for Lena's birthday.
Step one: Sanding. This is the best "before" picture we got.
Step two: Painting. Grandma let Lena help. She loved it.
She even got to make her own design on the bottom!
This is what happens when I let Grandma and Lena paint unsupervised!
The finished product. Cute!
Grandma even put the girls' handprints on the bottom. Aww!
Grandma cuddling with her girls.
The girls dressed in black on Good Friday.
We went out to lunch on Good Friday and I got a cute video of Eva eating salad and wiping off her face with a napkin.
Easter morning at church. Aren't we a colorful bunch!
The girls in matching skirts and coordinating tops.
Checking out the pretty Easter lilies.
The best pic I got of Mom and the girls, even though it's fuzzy. :(
Pretty tulips.
Time to open Easter baskets!
Eva with a mouthful of jelly beans right off the bat.
Hmm, what else is in here?
Gotta love the cheesy grin!
Even cheesier!
Grammy Tammy embroidered the girls' names on the linings of their Easter baskets.
Pretty! Thanks, Grammy Tammy!
See how well the new chair matches the other chairs? The rocker is hugely popular, which means they fight over it most of the day!
We had a great Easter weekend. Thanks for spending it with us, Grandma Sheryl, and for our new chair!
