Here are some pics of our lovely Mother's Day Weekend.
Friday Night. We ate dinner out on the deck. Grilled steak, Grilled Sweet Potatoes, Creamy Parmesan Spinach, lima beans, and rolls.
The girls love sitting at their own little table.
The Mitteers stopped by so John could rototill our garden plot. Eva tried on Sandy's sunglasses.
Sunday Morning: Lena wanted me to take a picture of her pretty hair so she could see it.
Pretty in pink.
Also pretty in pink!
Me with my beautiful girls.
We had lunch at Pizza Hut because it was the second Sunday of the month, which is fundraiser day for Lena's preschool.
After lunch, we got ice cream at a place in Caledonia.
Such a serious face!
Eva was getting pretty tired by this point, and wanted to go night-night on the table.
Eva and Daddy.
Lena chasing a butterfly.
Almost got it!
If you say, "Lena, you just couldn't be any cuter!", she will say, "Yes I can!" and strike this pose.
Since Eva does everything Lena does, she had to chase the butterfly too.
That afternoon I painted Lena's nails for the first time ever. The color? Blue, of course! Is there any other color?
It looks silver in the pics, but it's actually a light shimmery blue.
This is the Mother's Day gift I got from Lena. It's a ceramic tile that she painted at school. I love it!
We spent the afternoon/evening outside where Lena insisted on pretending to be a gorilla.
Pounding her chest.
Our hostas look great this year!
Peatie watching the festivities from inside the house.
Playing on the slide.
My rhubarb crop.
Some little rhubarb thieves kept stealing it while I was cutting it.
Pretty nice harvest! Here's what I made with it: Rhubarb Glazed Salmon.
The other fun part of the weekend (with no pics) was garage saling on Friday and Saturday pretty much all day. I got tons of summer clothes for the girls, and it's always fun to get out and drive around on a beautiful day.
We had an awesome weekend!
