Mom's 60th Birthday

Mom turned 60 in December.  Instead of just mailing her a gift, I drove down to Indiana to spend the day with her and Hilary.  We took Mom to the botanical gardens to see all of the beautiful poinsettias.  We had lunch at The Old Gas House, then did some shopping, and got dessert at DeBrands

Trying to take a pic of ourselves.

It wasn't easy!  But kinda fun.  We tried to get The Grinch in this one too.

This year's theme was "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."

 Lots of pretty poinsettias.

 Cool props.

I don't remember what any of these flowers are. But they are sure pretty!

The biggest poinsettia I've ever seen.

 Mom's "official" 60th birthday picture.

Mom being goofy.  It was hilarious when she realized she had a wadded-up Kleenex in her hand.

 That's better!

 Another great pose!

I thought Hilary was going to die laughing!

 More pretty flowers.

The orchids are always my favorite.

Mom wanted some pics of Hilary and me.

 Awww!

 Poinsettia fields forever.

A nice man took our pic.

 That's a big wreath!

Getting tired of posing by now!

 Me as The Grinch.

Hilary as Cindy-Lou Who.  I call her Cindy Lou Who Hil-doo.

One more of the three of us.

 Dessert at DeBrands. Yum!

Almost too pretty to eat.  Almost.

 Is that enough chocolate?

We spent the rest of the evening at Hilary's, playing with her kiddos and eating pizza for dinner.  It was a really fun day.

Happy Birthday, Mom! We love you!
