Kara's Baptism

Jim had the privilege of baptizing our precious niece, Kara, on August 19 at Good Shepherd.  Besides her parents and Noah, Grandma Sheryl, and our friends the Shadles came up to celebrate.

Sweet little baby toes sticking out of the baptismal gown.  This is the gown that Hilary and I both wore as babies for our "dedication" ceremony.

Jim busted out the gold craft paint to make this pretty baptismal banner.

Look how happy everyone is!

I just love this pic of Mom and Kara.  I love how Kara has her eyes open and is kind of smiling.

Mom wanted a picture with all the girls who have worn the gown.

We had a small reception with cake at church.

Then everyone came back to our house for lunch.

It was the perfect day to eat lunch outside on the deck.

Pretty flowers.

They love lunch.

Noah loves balloons.

Mom got a lot of good pics of the kids playing in the yard while the adults talked after lunch.  Look at Noah very patiently waiting his turn on the slide!

Noah loved Lena's tricycle.

Wearing Grandma's sunglasses.

Of course, Eva had to do it too.

Dennis enjoyed playing with the kids.

Posing for Grandma.

Girl cousins.

Sweet baby cuddles.

Lena couldn't wait to hold Kara.  Kara looks pretty happy about it!

We are rejoicing that Kara is now God's own child.  Thanks be to God!  And thanks to Mom also for many of these pics.
