We spent a fun day at the zoo in early August. It wasn't the ideal day to go, as it was hot and super humid. 93 degrees and a max humidity of 93%. But it was PBS Kids' Day, which meant free admission and other fun things, so we hated to pass that up. We started off by having a picnic lunch at the park outside the zoo entrance. The pics are pretty self-explanatory.

The John Ball Zoo isn't as nice as the Fort Wayne Zoo, but it's still fun to go.

Lena was in line to hug Hooper, but he decided to take a break when it was her turn next! :( It was too hot to stand around and wait another 20 minutes.
Despite the heat and humidity, we had fun and were really glad we went.
