Heritage Day 2012

The first Saturday after Labor Day is always Heritage Day in Middleville.  It's our little town's little one-day festival.  It's not too exciting, but it's fun for the girls to watch the parade, eat festival food, and do other fun kid things.  The weather was lovely this year; kind of windy but otherwise pleasant.

Waiting for the parade to start.

Sitting pretty.  You can tell it was windy because her hair looks kinda crazy.

It was one of those times when you can see the moon during the day.  I didn't even notice it; Lena pointed it out to us.

Daddy kisses.

Here it comes!

Gotta love a trolley filled with old people.

Candy!

It wouldn't be a Middleville parade without the stagecoach.

One float threw out tubes of Chapstick!

Another float handed out popsicles.

And there's always the men in little bitty cars.

After the parade, we headed over to the craft fair.  I got these pretty earrings, and my first Christmas presents of the year.  Can't tell you about those yet!

The girls enjoyed corndogs for lunch while Jim and I had some tasty sandwiches from The Big Easy.

Then we went over to the park where there were lots of fun activities for kids.

That's where we ate our elephant ear.

There she is posing again!

This was like some sort of bouncy enclosed maze where you put your kid in one end and hope they find their way out the other end.  Lena came out pretty quick, but we didn't see Eva for a while.  Sent Lena back in to help her out.

There she is!

Then they got to jump around in the bouncy house.

I took a short video of them in there.

The girls wanted to swing.

Finally getting big enough for the regular swing instead of the baby one.

We had to leave after that so Jim could attend to some pastor duties, but we had a fun time while we were there.
