Fall on the Thornapple Trail

A few pics from a fall stroll on the trail that runs along the Thornapple River.

I just love this tree near our house.

A few of the leaves had this weird green squiggle on them.

Trying to get Eva to smile. This was as close as I got!

A video of Eva singing "You Are My Sunshine".

The top of this tree is on fire. (Can you tell that the fiery oranges are my fav?)

The trail is so pretty this time of year.

There were at least 30 sandhill cranes out on Mill Pond. Very unusual!

Looking at the cranes.

Always good to let the girls run for a while!

Daddy had a little helper pulling the wagon.

So pretty!

Walking in an autumn wonderland.

Lena loved playing in the leaves.

It's a race! One other time they raced, Jim said "Go!" and Lena took off like a shot, while Eva took one step and fell flat on her face! It was hilarious. Poor thing takes after her mommy.

My favorite shot of the day. Staring out at the river.

Cute with their little faces too, though.

En fuego!

Pretty trees along the river.

Lena found this flower bloom on the sidewalk and wore it the rest of the way home.
