Indiana Trip: Part Three

Finally, here is Part Three of our Indiana trip pictures.  Part One was zoo pics, Part Two was the birth of our niece, and Part Three is all of the other pics we took while in Indiana for almost two weeks.  Lots of pics in this post, so let's get to them!

Fun at Grandpa Brian's house.  Jim didn't waste any time getting his relaxing on the first day of his vacation.  Grandpa Brian's hammocks are perfect for that.

Imagine finding a corn cob at Grandpa Brian's!

Sunday, the 15th, was Sister's Day.  Here are my girls all dressed up on Sister's Day outside Aunt Hilary's house.

Aunt Hil (with Kara still inside) busted out the bubbles and let the kids take turns popping them.

 Cousin Noah loving on Lena.

Later that day, we went to a little Roemke family get-together at the farm.

Eva letting it all hang out with Grandpa.

Lena had fun playing with the bigger kids.  Remember Nicole; Jim's cousin who was the flower girl at our wedding? That's her.  The get-together was in honor of her 14th birthday.

 Jumping on the trampoline.

Eva entertained herself for a while.

I tried out the hammock too.  I eventually turned around because the setting sun was blinding me!

We spent one afternoon at Grandma Sheryl's and Grandpa Lee's.  Lena had fun playing with Ozzie.

Eva is still scared of doggies, so she stayed on the porch.

Acting like a doggy from the safety of Grandma's arms.

She had no problem petting the kitties though.

It finally stopped raining so we could get in the pool.  Lena had lots of fun with Grandma.

But Eva wasn't so sure about getting in at first.

When she saw how much fun Lena was having, she changed her mind.

Eva liked floating around on Cousin Noah's little pool floatie.

The whale was fun too.

Playing in the pool wore her out!  She literally fell asleep while holding this big Bible.  I tried to take it from her, but she had a death grip on the thing, even in her sleep!

Back at Grandpa Brian's.  Jim playing with his remote-controlled helicopter.

Watching Daddy make the helicopter crash.

This was the highest he got it to fly.

Another day the girls had fun at a kids fest being held on the IPFW campus.  I think it was part of the Three Rivers Festival.

They got balloon animals.  Lena got a giraffe.

And Eva got a penguin.

And they got to sit inside an ambulance.

Let's hope this is their only experience inside the back of an ambulance!

After we were done with the ambulance, we handed the girls off to Grammy Tammy who took them around the rest of the afternoon.  She took these next few pics.  I think this was Eva's first time in a bouncy house.

They got to go on some rides.

What a fun day!

Another day we went to visit our friends, Bobbi and Dennis.  They have a barn with some fun farm animals.  Lena was excited to pet a chicken.

And we got Eva to do it too!

And Lena loved the horses, of course.

We spent a whole afternoon with Eva's godparents, the Ahlersmeyers.  They served us a delicious lunch, then the guys retreated to the living room to chat while us girls had some fun in the basement.

Mrs. Ahlersmeyer has lots of toys from when her kids were little.  Lena had fun building a train track.

Eva decided to squeeze in a quick workout.

Then we headed outside and Mrs. Ahlersmeyer got out the sidewalk chalk.

Then Lena helped her water the flowers.

Then the girls got to do a fun puzzle.

All done!

Thanks for a fun afternoon, Pastor Steve and Kate!

The day we left, we stopped to see the great-grandmas one last time.

Thanks for letting us stay with you for so long, Grandpa Brian!

The girls found some crowns when we stopped by Grammy Tammy's to pick something up.

And Lena helped with the sweeping!

We had so much fun spending our vacation in Indiana this summer.  It was so great getting to see all of our family and not be so rushed about it like we are on weekend trips.
