Car Pics and a visit from Grandpa Brian

Here are a few pics I took over the weekend.

We had a long car trip on Saturday.  (About two hours each way.)  Jim officiated at a committal ceremony about half an hour west of Big Rapids.  It was an early morning for Lena so she took the opportunity for a nap on the way up there.  Doesn't look very comfortable, does it?

Then on the way home, she thought she'd be really cute by taking out her pigtails.

Then she got really mad when I wouldn't let her eat the rubber band she took out of her hair.  Doesn't she look like a little devil in this picture?

Sunday after church.  Playing with Rebecca while Sarah plays with a ladybug.

Sarah showing me the ladybug stuck inside the empty eraser part of a pencil.  Gee, I wonder how she got in there? :)

The hand-off: Renee.  She loves getting passed around at church.

Another hand-off: Grandpa Brian.  He came up for a short visit.  He took us out to the Walldorff Brewpub and Bistro in Hastings.  It was really good.  I got portabello stuffed ravioli in a Gorgonzola cheese sauce.  Yummy!  After lunch we came back home and had coffee and dessert while watching Lena play with the toys that came in the Easter basket Grandpa Brian got her.  It was a very nice visit.

And the good news: We didn't get the possible six inches of snow that was forecast for us yesterday and today.  We just got a light dusting that has mostly melted by now.  Thanks be to God!  We don't want any more snow!  I think the local weathermen are a little bummed because two or three more inches would have made this the second snowiest winter on record and seven more inches would have made it the snowiest.  Their disappointment is my huge relief!

And the bad news: It appears that Lena and I are coming down with chest colds.  We are both coughing.  I'm starting to feel pretty yucky, but even though Lena is coughing, she seems to feel fine otherwise.  We are praying that we get over it quickly because we have a busy week ahead of us.  Multiple church services and I am planning a big Easter dinner for some family members.

I wish everyone a blessed Holy Week.
