We had a nice day today. Lena and I just hung out at home and when Daddy got home from school we all went for a walk on the Paul Henry trail that runs along the Thornapple River. The last two days have been absolutely beautiful here. Full sun both days and today it was in the mid-70s. Lena and Jim had been out a couple of times in March, but yesterday was our first time all walking on the trail together this year.
Daddy took a little nap before heading off to school. Lena wasn't interested in sleeping, but cuddled with Daddy for a long time.
Cute how she has her thumb in her nostril, huh?
After we walked on the trail, we let Lena run around in the park. In front of the gazebo is a large grassy area that is kind of bowl-shaped. And it doesn't border the street. So we thought that was a perfect place to turn her loose for a few minutes. She loved it!
"Look, I found a leaf!" She is in the stage now where she likes to give people things.
Here are a couple of videos I took. The first one is of Jim playing with Lena, chasing her around the bowl. The second one is of her running around, rolling down the side, and at the very end, she starts eating some woodchips so I turned it off very quickly to put the camera down and stop her!
Jim and I are driving to Chicago tomorrow to watch the Cardinals play the Cubs. My birthday gift! :) There is an 80% chance of rain in Chicago tomorrow, so we are praying that the game doesn't get cancelled! Grandma Sheryl is staying with Lena while we are gone.
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!
